Last May 25 was my 18th birthday and it was truly unforgettable.

8:00 am
I had a wonderful breakfast with my family in Paris and we were going to tour around that day but little did I know I was going to get more action than that.

8:15 am
My dad even called me from back home afterwards I went back to my seat with my cousins to finish eating. We were all having a great time. I got up and decided to leave my bag with my cousins while i get some water then... (dum-dum-dum) I came back with my bag gone!

My bag was and had my whole world. It had my IPOD, wallet, sketching materials, camera, make-up kit, Oakley's. PASSPORT!!! You name it, the thief has it.

8:17 am
My family and I started panicking, we went around the hotel and everything. A Chinese tourist tried to communicate with us. He was gesturing that a man came took my bag and walked out the door.

8:20 am
My mom and I ended up not going to the planned tour, instead we went to the Police Station (which opens at freakin' 9 am. What kind of Police Station is that? If someone was murdered you'd have to wait 'til it opens???) and then the embassy.

9:30 am
We finally got in and were able to report the theft. Police people even greeted me, "Happy Birthday" with a very heavy french accent. If it weren't for one french man who spoke English fluently we would've been stuck there longer. Thank you french Guy!

sometime around 10-11
We go to the embassy, find out that someone has found my passport said to be a Japanese Tourist (It's a sign! I will marry a Japanese Guy! I'm too grateful to him.) We go to the said location a Hotel far off from ours around 6 stops by metro. I expected my sauveur to be there, i was planning on bowing down his feet or giving him a big kiss but alas, he wasn't there. So, the lady in the desk hands it to me and says I was very lucky. She asked me if our hotel has shown the tape of the theft and we told her our hotel didn't allow us. She said they should have because as long as we were in their hotel they still had the responsibility.

And we all knew that, but the people in our hotel didn't. pfft.

I have never felt so french, i experienced the french life more than i should have.
